WHALES WATCHING
If you are a whale watching fan, the best place to be is in the warm waters of the Pacific Ocean. Panama is one of the few places in the world where both the Northern and Southern Hemisphere Humpback Whale families migrate 25,000 km (16,000 mi) to breed and birth their young. The Gulf of Chiriqui National Park, a 14,740 hectare marine park, is the perfect place to see the Humpbacks up close during their migration-breeding routes.
ISLAND HOPPING
One of the less known destinations of Panama is the Gulf of Chiriqui. While the Pacific mainland has gold and black sand beaches, the islands of the Gulf are similar to the Caribbean with white sand. This is one of the few places in the world where it is possible to have a beach to yourself.
The National Marine Park of the Gulf of Chiriqui covers 147 square kilometers, 25 islands, and 19 coral reefs. In 1994 this area of Panama was declared protected by the Panamanian government because of its biodiversity.
FISHING

Panama’s Gulf of Chiriqui is one of the premier saltwater sport fishing destinations in the world! A remote tropical environment, home to more than 20 Pelagic and Inshore game fish species. No big industrial commercial fishing operations, and governmental protection of all billfish are a few of the reasons why fishing Panama is so great. Epic Marlin and Tuna action at nearby Hannibal Bank. The site is located approximately one hour boating from Coiba Island.
PADDLE BOARDING
The ultimate Panama surf experience can be had in the Golfo de Chiriqui, with consistent and remote surf breaks that can sometimes reach 20 feet best enjoyed from June to December. If you want to try your hand at stand up paddle boarding PUNTA BEJUCO has several beaches which offer the perfect conditions to enjoy this water sport.
If you’re interested in trying stand up paddle boarding at night you will experience a night on the water that you’ll never forget.
SCUBA DIVING CHIRIQUI
Much has been said about the scuba diving in the Chiriqui Gulf, at least by those fortunate enough to have experienced it: with unbelievable dive sites around the Secas archipelagos, Ladrones and Coiba Island, the possibilities are infinite. Around Ladrones and Secas, visibility can be up to 30 meters, and in Coiba Marine National Park (World Heritage Site by UNESCO) you´ll encounter Central America's most extensive coralline reefs, rich in sea creatures of all type. According to a 2005 UNESCO report, the Chiriqui Gulf holds more species of fish than the Galapagos and Cocos Islands. The abundance and diversity of sea life can be only described as spectacular.
KAYAKING
If you are fit enough and feel more adventurous you can sea kayak all around the bay, but make sure to take your snorkeling gear along so that you can explore the underwater world as well.if you'd like to, take some lunch for a delicious picnic, and when you fancy a rest and happen to discover another of the undiscovered beaches, aim for the shore and enjoy a well deserved banquet unders the shade of the palm trees.
CHIRIQUI SURF
Chiriquí has uncrowded powerful waves. Some of the breaks in Chiriquí a.re: Barqueta, Mocha, Mochita, Los Olivos, Puerto Armuelles, San Lorenzo y Las Lajas. Barqueta is a very challenging beach break with rights and lefts and Mocha Point has incredible rights.
HORSEBACK RIDING
Cross rivers and small streams, encounter beautiful landscapes and admire the Baru Volcano from a very special perspective. At the end of the trip you will arrive at a lookout point with panoramic vistas of the surrounding mountains and serene valleys blanketed by lush rainforests. From here you will be able to see the Pacific Ocean, Chiriqui’s lowlands and the Baru Volcano, all at the same time. You can also take a ride through the sandy beaches and reconect with nature.
COFFE PLANTATION TOUR

QUETZAL´S TRAIL
Considered one of the most gorgeous paths in Central America, the Quetzals Trail is without any doubt the most popular hike in Panama's western highlands. Located within the Volcan Baru National Park, the "Sendero de los Quetzales" links the towns of Guadalupe, which is near Cerro Punta on the west side of the Volcano, with the town of Boquete which is on its east. The trail skirts the Baru Volcano on its north face and can be hiked in any direction, starting in Boquete and ending in Cerro Punta, or vice versa.
ZIP LINE
Glide on zip lines through the canopy of century-old cloud forests, high above the pristine rivers and waterfalls that make up the incredible collection of natural landscapes bordering the National Park La Amistad and the famous Baru Volcano. With 3 kilometers in total length divided into 12 different zip line cables, you will glide through trees to encounter canopy flora and wildlife.
